Athletes Gone Global offers four tiers of support, each built around a different level of need. Every tier includes our Japan and Japan Rugby Cultural Guide — a comprehensive document covering everything from ward office registration to rugby team culture, built from real experience so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Choose the level of support that fits your situation. All pricing is in CAD.
Tier 1 — Connect — $1,500
For athletes who know what they want and just need the right door opened.
- Personalised matching to the right club or school based on your level and goals
- Direct outreach and introduction to the Japanese institution on your behalf
- Active facilitation of initial communication between you and the club or school
- Japan Rugby Cultural Guide — SIM cards, ward office, transportation, cultural norms, rugby team etiquette
- Clean handoff upon placement — your journey begins, ours steps back
Tier 2 — Settle — $3,000
For athletes who want placement support plus guidance on finding a home in Japan.
- Everything in Tier 1
- Personalised housing recommendations based on your budget, duration, visa type, and lifestyle — monthly mansions, share houses, homestays, and more
- Curated housing resource guide with vetted platforms and notes on what to avoid
- Guidance on what type of accommodation suits your specific situation
Note: housing referrals are recommendations only. Contracts are signed directly between you and the provider.
Tier 3 — Land — $5,000
For athletes who want full preparation before departure and hands-on support when they arrive.
- Everything in Tier 2
- Pre-departure call — a full briefing on what to expect before you board the plane
- In-person support on arrival to help you navigate the essential first steps of settling into Japan
- 2-week post-arrival check-in call
- Active support throughout your stay, up to 3 months
- Housing support is modular — if your school provides accommodation, support is redirected to other settlement needs
Tier 4 — Full Support — $7,500
For athletes and families who want ongoing peace of mind throughout the entire stay.
- Everything in Tier 3
- Active support extended to up to 6 months
- An in-country contact available when something comes up unexpectedly
- Semi-regular check-in calls throughout your stay
- Cultural navigation support — understanding why things happen the way they do in Japan
- Occasional in-person meetup when geographically feasible
- Optional monthly advisory retainer available after the 6 month window for those on longer stays
